A New Lens on Aging

A New Lens on Aging is a photo campaign designed to reduce the stigma around aging and change how people think about getting older. We look for photo submissions from older adults and organizations that support older adults, that highlight aging well in communities across Nova Scotia. Photos may be used on our website, social media and promotional materials.

We also love to showcase your photos during Seniors’ Week and in our Year of Aging Well Calendar. We usually run a photo contest in August, but we accept submissions year-round. We look for photos of: 

  • Intergenerational activities 

  • Recreational or social seniors’ clubs and groups 

  • Cultural celebrations and events 

  • Seniors connecting with the community 

Before submitting a photo, please make sure you have permission to share from all the people in the picture. Send your photos with a brief description and your contact info to info@communitylinks.ca
