A New Lens on Aging is looking for photo submissions from organizations that support older adults or individuals showing how they or others are aging well across the province.
A New Lens on Aging is looking for photo submissions from organizations that support older adults or individuals showing how they or others are aging well across the province.
Our photo campaigns have always looked to represent older adults and their communities, as well as reduce the stigma around aging and change how people view getting older.
This year, we want to highlight organizations that are supporting older adults to help create awareness about the organizations and volunteers that make aging well possible.
WHO: We are looking for submissions from organizations or individuals showing how older adults are aging well in their communities.
WHAT: Any pictures that show your organization in action or show how older adults are engaging in their communities
Particular photos of interest:
- Intergenerational activities
- Recreational or social seniors clubs and groups
- Cultural celebrations and events
- Seniors connecting with the community
WHEN: Submissions for the prize draw are open July 14, 2023 and will be closing September 22, 2023. However, we want to continue to collect photos of older adults throughout the year.
WHY: We want to represent you! Photos may be used on our social media during Seniors Week 2023 and may be used in our 2024 Community Links Calendar.
PRIZE: All those who submit photos before September 22, 2023 will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 3 $100 gift cards to a local shop of the winners choosing.
