Free walking soccer sessions offered for seniors

walkingsoccerIt’s more than just exercise. When seniors are physically active, they decrease their chances of fall-related injuries, lower the risk of dementia and chronic disease, and improve their quality of sleep, cognitive functions and overall mood.

Walking Soccer Nova Scotia welcomes all Nova Scotian seniors aged 55 and older to walking soccer sessions run by an award-winning certified recreation therapy specialist.

Sessions are every Wednesday starting in September at the BMO Soccer Centre in Halifax, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Each walking soccer session will be followed by a healthy snack and socializing, and it’s all free of charge.
